Clinical Director - M.OST, GOSC 8776
Emily Ward
Emily founded Ebrook Osteopathy and Sports Clinic in 2014 after her graduation from the British School of Osteopathy in London, now known as the University College of Osteopathy.
Over the years Emily has worked hard to establish a family practice with an incredible reputation in the West Midlands, before opening a second clinic in Lichfield in the summer of 2020.
Under Emily’s careful direction, the clinics now deliver over 12000 patient appointments each year from new-born babies, all the way through to people in their nineties!
Emily has a wealth of experience in managing complex pain presentations, and is specifically interested in helping people with chronic lower back pain gain more control over their pain experience. Emily has been working hard on the online rehabilitation program for people with back pain, Modern Back Care. Emily has a passion for bringing evidence-based practice to the forefront of manual therapies, and wants to make this approach more accessible to people and practitioners.
You can find more about Modern Back Care by visiting the website on this link.
Emily’s clinical approach puts a strong emphasis on exercise and patient autonomy. Emily believes her best treatment outcomes are founded in empowering patients to trust and strengthen their bodies, not just for their current injury, but to improve their health for the rest of their lives.
Preventative healthcare is part of the overall approach at Ebrook Clinics, which comes directly from Emily’s clinical ideals.
Emily has developed the clinic’s relationships with athletes as an additional area of interest, and runs a Strength and Conditioning class for Runners at Ebrook Fitness. These small group classes focus on building strength and resilience to injury, while optimising technique to improve runner’s speed and
endurance. You can book into one of Emily’s Strength and Conditioning classes by following this link.
Please be aware that outside of limited openings, Emily is not currently accepting new patients into her clinical diary.
For complex presentations, patients can request their casefile be co-managed by Emily alongside their own practitioner.
